Kindergarten Registration

2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR
Please note: If your student currently attends Preschool within the Howell Township SchoolDistrict, you do not need to register your student, they will be automatically enrolled as aKindergarten student.

In accordance with Board policy, a child must be five years of age on or before October 1 to be eligible to enter Kindergarten for the current school year.

Kindergarten Registration Process

Registration will consist of five steps. You must complete steps 1-4, including the online pre-registration, and locate and complete all required documents prior to attending your in-person appointment (step 5), or the registrar will not be able to assist you at that time.

Use the district’s street-to-school list (if registering for 23-24 school year) or MySchool Locator (if registering for 24-25 school year) to determine the school the student will attend based on the home address. Budgetary fluctuations, class size considerations or a student’s needs, could impact your child’s school of attendance. Note the school name and continue with Step 2.

Complete the Online Pre-Registration. Please note, preschool students SHOULD NOT schedule an appointment with the Central Registration office as they will be attending an in-person registration event to collect and verify required documents. During the in-person event, the Registrar will review the required documents and proofs of residency.
IMPORTANT: Write down the username and password when creating your parent/guardian account.

If you do not have access to a printer, copies of the Residency Affidavits and Health Requirement Forms Packet can be picked up at the central registration office.
