2005 Season:
The biggest Alumni news from 2005 came from the phenomenal run that the Colts Neck HS Boys team had in both open and relay meets. The Boys team which included Ryan Jagielski, Chris Clark, and Craig Forys teamed up with some others to form one of the best overall relay teams NJ has ever seen! During the winter season, the team won the Eastern States Championships in the the Distance Medly, and continued on to win the Indoor National Championship as well! Two days later, he placed 2nd, Nationally in the 4x800 Relay.
Heading into the Spring, they were the team to beat, and they proved it all the way through June! After an off day taking 2nd at Penn Relays, they went on to break the state record on the 4x800 with a time of 7:39.54, and take 2nd by .23 seconds in the Distance Medly at High School Nationals. What a great season. Good Luck to Ryan Jagielski as he continues his running at Kutztown University!
Cross Country 2005

The 2005 Cross Country Season proved to be a very interesting one especially for Howell North stars Briana Jackucewicz and Allie Flott. The Colts Neck Girls X-C team spent most of the pre season flying under the radar until they made the trip up to New York's famous Van Courtland Park, to take on some of the best teams the entire Northeast had to offer. The day was terrible, it was raining so hard you couldn't even see at some times, but the girls were on a mission to put themselves on the map!
When it was over the girls upset a bunch of teams en route to a 6th place finish at the Manhattan Invitational! This instantly got them ranked in the Northeast on every poll out there! Heading into the second half of the season, a trip to Nike Team National (NTN) was on their minds. With every week they were getting better and it was looking real good. The Cougars won the Group III State Championship and were expected to either win or take second in the State All Group Championship!
On a beautiful Day at Holmdel Park, the girls who at the time were ranked #4 in the Northeast and #16 in the US squared off against Roxbury. This meet didn't quite turn out the way the Cougars would have liked but they finished 2nd and they bring back everyone next year!!!
The Cougars Return to the scene next season with a legitimate shot at being the best team in the country! Good Luck!!
